Senior Backend Developer – PHP (F/M/D)

Responsibilities

• Development and maintenance of PHP based backend applications (APIs)
• Integration of external services (third party APIs)
• Evaluation of new application requirements and reported bugs
• Writing readable and maintainable codes and performing regular refactorings to adjust the application architecture to changed requirements
• Support the Line Manager and take the lead on specific projects
• Cooperate with the other team members to a common goal
• Contribute ideas and workable solutions

Qualification

• A work permit for Germany is required!
• 4+ years of experience in Backend Development PHP
• Profound and practical knowledge of the PHP programming language
• Excellent skills in object-oriented PHP programming
• Profound knowledge of automated testing (PHPUnit)
• Good knowledge of relational databases (MySQL/MariaDB)
• Practical / working experience with:
  • object-relational mapping systems (Doctrine)
  • version control systems (SVN/Git)
  • issue-tracking systems (Jira)
• Stress resistance and ability to keep the overview and flexibility while working on several projects in parallel

Step 1 First video call – We would like to know more about your mindset, your skills and your expectation

Step 2 If the first interview was OK for both sides, we will invite you to a technical interview. An expert will join that interview to have a technical conversation with you. Depending on the position the technical interview can also include programming tasks. For us it is important to create a realistic environment within the recruitment process. This is helpful and useful for both sides to get a better orientation
